We changed the fish source in Fisol and Super Fisol as Pollack and Whiting are a more sustainable species fished in North America  and “green” source of our fish oil.  In fact, changing to this new fish source earned us the “eco-certification”  on our label   and has greatly reduced the bycatch of different species.  (Bycatch indicates untargeted catch in other forms of animal harvesting or collecting. In general, bycatch is of a different species, undersized individuals of the target species, or juveniles of the target species.)

The integration of Enzymatic Therapy and Nature’s Way into Schwabe North America (SNA) was the impetus for re-evaluating all of the formulations and contract manufacturers within our supply chain.  The integration process was used to drive continuous improvement within our organization which included the evaluation and improvement of individual formulations such as the Fisol enteric coating formulation.  In alignment with SNA’s core mission statement of enhancing health through nature, the enteric coating in the Fisol product line was improved to include more naturally-derived ingredients including sodium alginate and coconut oil.
